Some stuff about me:

I sell Oggz and other fun stuff, both wholesale and retail. Buy some Oggz! I grew up in PA. I used to live in San Francisco and Berkeley California. I got married in Greece. I live in North Carolina now.
I troubleshoot networks and computers. Hire me to help fix yours. I went to Alternative West, Penn State and too many other schools.
I do genealogy research for myself and other people. I have a new site coming at www.colonialroots.com to focus more on this. I love films, cats and gardening. I read a lot of books and many of them are biographies. I like Carl Hiassen, Elmore Leonard, Studs Terkel and Nick Bantcock a lot.
I like gadgets and technology. Who doesn't? I like photography and I sometimes make videos. I studied film and broadcasting.
I invented the Internet, sort of. I created some web sites more than 10 years ago that are still online: Philm Freax, EnoWeb, and the Berkeley Vietnam Veterans Memorial. When I started there were only 60 Web servers. Really. I had a job as Webmaster in 1994. That was a long time ago. I worked at lots of startups and didn't get rich. I create music using synthesizers, guitars, basses, keyboards, trumpets, percussion, computers and just about anything I can get my hands on. You can hear some of it at malium.blogspot.com.
I host some web pages on Early American Presbyterians because it's useful info for genealogy research. I also scan old books. I consider myself a Quaker but I'm not too fond of organized religions. Dotpattern.com has some fun postcards, jokers, matchbooks and other collections. 

I once collected TV sets and Umbrellas. My father used to collect maps. I think maps are pretty cool too.

I love Pennsylvania, especially Eagles Mere. I had lots of ancestors in PA before 1740 and many of them fought in the Revolutionary War. My friend Harvey Matusow died a few years ago before he finished his auto-biography. I am working on a video documentary on him.
I like to explore history, especially as it related to my own family and areas my ancestors lived in. I write about music sometimes, and love listening to a wide range of music. I used to run a radio station.
I love LED lamps and lighting. I am in the process of launching AmbientLighting.com soon to review LED and lighting products. I will give away free ring-tones I made at AmbientRingtones.com. It's not ready yet.
I design LED lamps. You can't buy them yet. I like solving problems and finding solutions.
I have two cats, Howie and Harpo. I collect masks and other stuff.
I co-authored a Web Publishing book a long time ago, helped edit some other books and have some of my random poetry in an early anthology of literary works from the Web in the mid 1990's. I some cool friends who create stuff and have interesting web sites.  Scot Hacker, Christian Crumlish, Mark Napier, Alien Flower Poetry, Literary Kicks, Snarg, Phil Franks, Sweet Cucumber, Dan Sumption,  Zeigen, Raymondo's Dance-O-Rama, Craque,  Jeff Greinke.
I used to work at Photo and Sound, Kyocera Unison Inc, Wind River Systems, City of Berkeley California, Total Entertainment Network (now pogo.com), Benelytics, Pomeroy, Time Warner RoadRunner, GilBarco and Reflex Cable. Many of these places don't exist anymore. I prefer working for myself which still means working for and with other people, but on terms I can define. It's more fun that way. One of my last managers told me that  I think too much. He was probably right. I started a small private mailing list over 10 years ago focused on the Web and arts and it's still going strong as an experiment in building a small intentional community. Between us we've published over a dozen books, many of them done as collaborative projects.  It has been mentioned in the Village Voice, New York Times and about 7 books and other places. You can't join it. Start your own community. It's fun.

Now I mostly sell Oggz, do freelance Network and Computer Support and work on genealogy.
